Scuba Lodge & Suites

Personnel (all of them!) are lovely; when we arrived, we were toured around the hotel facilities. There is always hotel staff available to answer your questions (are the pool towels for free? - Yes. Can we leave our suitcases behind a locked door in the hours before departure? - Yes. Why is Willemstad Center so busy on Thursday evenings? Etc.) Always smiling, always happy to help. The location is great; it's on Pietermaai, within walking distance of Willemstad city center, but also just far away from it to always find a nearby parking spot for your rental car. Except on Thursday evenings 😬 The hotel has 2 pools; one is an infinity pool with sun deck facing the ocean. That ocean can be entered through a small staircase and it's unbelievable what can be seen already snorkling around that access point. There are two showers close to the pool to wash off the salty water. Part of the sun deck is in the shade of a large tree for gradual tanning. Our room was equipped with airconditioning AND a ceiling fan. We haven't seen one mosquito in it. The bottom seafront part of the hotel is occupied by De Heeren at Sea restaurant, which is very convenient for having breakfast. 'Of course', the Scuba Lodge is close to Dive Center Pietermaai, which obviously offers everything for diving, you can even dive with them in front of the hotel.

The front desk staff were absolutely top notch - lovely people! They went above and beyond to answer questions and help with whatever was needed. Incredible customer service! The grounds were beautiful, loved the 2 pools after a hot day of sightseeing. The bed was comfortable and the room was very nice. We loved the charm of the hotel. The location was great for us - walking distance to many restaurants and the sights of Willemstad but also very peaceful.

Beautiful boutique hotel with warm, welcoming and very accommodating staff. We were traveling as a group of 5 and as we arrived late, the reception staff immediately gave us our room keys and we did the official check in at our leisure the next morning. This was very welcome news having just travelled a very long distance! Gorgeous pool area which was the ideal place to spend a few hours relaxing. Very comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning and Wi-Fi. We had breakfast included in our stay but as we had to leave the hotel very early every morning, the restaurant staff packed us a delicious take away breakfast. No issues getting new towels for the pool or beach each day and when we asked if we could have a late check out on the day of our departure, it was very kindly facilitated at no extra cost. All these little things made our stay at Scuba Lodge very enjoyable. Thank you so much to the staff for such a wonderful week!

Big, comfortable, clean studio with a well equipped kitchen. Great shower. Daily cleaning and towels. Very friendly staff! Next to the beach and great pool. Super nice to drink a cocktail or have a meal with your feet in the sand. Reservations needed, because super busy.

The hotel is very well located, nearby the Willemstad center (10min walk) and the facilities, particularly the swimming pools and the restaurant with sea view were great and comfortable. The persons at the reception were very kind and helpful. They supported us on booking many activities and were very flexible with our requests (payment, booking taxi to airport, rental car, activities etc.). The room had AC and was comfortable with a small terrace in front.
